Talk with Devin from DKT last night. Looks like turbo’s should start shipping from Precision in the next couple of weeks. He also said that BMR is just about finished with its Christmas orders and will be finishing up the K-members. He thinks they will both be done around the same time. Hopefully we will have are turbo’s by the end of the month.

Id like to see some of these installed. I wouldnt mind having a solid upgrade over the turbos that came with my extreme kit. I just had mine installed but With these APS turbos ya never know how long they will hold up and plan on pushing mine.

So in for more info and results

Are you upgrading your twins or maybe converting to t4's?

I'm upgrading my twins using DKT's ehaust housings/precision Billet wheel turbos. I started another thread because of this one being so long etc...

Default manifold housing

is cutting off the turbo housing flange and rewelding a "standard" format flange impossible to do on the cast aps manifolds? seems like it would be alot easier (especially with the customized kmember available) to then just bolt on a more generic name brand turbo.

Taylor at DP did on a C6 that makes @1300rwhp with two T4 GT35's. But we will see if these get us anywhere close to that. They should as Tim Lynches car did 13xx on 62's. I did talk to Taylor about the cost of doing that and well he never gave me a specific price, but his reply led me to believe it would be quite pricey because you have to remake all the DP's and charge pipes as he changed the angle of the turbo's due to the T4 flange. So basicly you would be only using the manifolds from the kit lol!

Ha Ha Ha! Well you would have to ask them, but in my opinion it was to keep you from building your own stuff using just their manifold which had to be one of the most expensive pieces of there kit etc...

understand lol.

but, seriously, did they have to do a custom housing to get it to fit somehow that a "normal" turbo wouldn't fit. i've got some smaller mitsu and garrett turbos on hand but not a regular 20g style so i am curious where it physically doesn't work, either on the turbine or compressor side.
