Default LQ4 iron blocked engines run hotter than aluminum blocks..........?????

Anyone notice hotter temps with stock cooling systems......I'm thinking about a 38xci with an S91........

The LS3 416ci could be another option I guess.....if it can handle that turbo and be reliable with longevity....lol

Mine runs hotter but not sure how much of that is the iron block's fault vs the turbo that's all in the way of any air that it sees.

Is it not much where it matters....or does it cause problems ever.

I'm talking about a 100% street car for me too.........

LQ4's are so damn cheap......but I'll go LS3 if the temps are an issue.

my car was running way hot forever when i had my fans 12" and 10" FAL fans arranged as pushers and i was overtemping often. i mounted them as pullers and now it idles for half an hour in 100 degree heat and barely gets to 200. it is an Iron Block as well.
