Default My single frontmount build thread

98 Camaro, full bolt-ons, 12 bolt with 4.11 gears, was stalled auto but currently has no tranny lol. I got started last weekend
Turbo is a Turbonetics TC-76 (76mm compressor, 68mm exducer, .96 AR housing, 2.5 inch discharge flared out to a 3.5 inch vband, 4 inch inlet)

Im about to go change these^^^ mounts right now, i dont like them lol
these too (pic below), im making a new one that will have an integrated pull point for the car, i will also be able to jack up the front end of the car with it. currently i must use 2 jacks one on each side

^^^and when dudes say you dont need a huge garage to do this, their not bullshitting you, although it was a little tight before i took apart the front end LOL

Nice, I'm starting to pull my front end apart today for my front mount build. Gonna be doing it in a small garage as well.

I would think if you have a 76mm compressor wheel the turbo would be a T76.

entirely possible, the measurements on the wheels and inlets and outlets is all spot on.

and as for the garage, its far more cramped than the driveway but getting rained in freakin rocks!

lets see some pics of the turbo. sounds like the same measurements as my TC76. T4 Housing, 76mm compressor, F1-68X turbine wheel, 3" v band turbine outlet, 4" compressor inlet/2.5" outlet. the TC turbos use the 60 series housings which are the same size dimensionally but internal modifications. if it is a 60-1 turbo then i would HIGHLY suggest your not even consider using it. that thing would be great on a rear mount though. if you want a turbo that is roughly the same size but with more potential then a TC turbo would work great for you. i use a 76 but a 78 can be had as well.
