Default 6.125" vs. 6.3" rod pros/cons?

I found a set of used Oliver 6.3" rods for a good price that would be paired up with a stock crank. Is there any advantage to running these vs. a standard 6.125" length rod which most people run?

What are the pros/cons? I want to spin the motor to around 7200rpm redline. Single turbo setup.

Well...youd have to have a custom piston to use them(more $$ and build time), and it would move the piston pin up so much it would cramp things up above the pin.

Shorter piston is bad for power adders due to less deck up top. get some 6.125 and get some good dished pistons and up the boost some more

X2.....Find your stroke, find a piston with a thick crown and good ring stack....and lastly find a rod that connects the 2.

You havent mentioned the most important part...what stroke do you want to run ?

You've no mission with a 4" stroke Even with stock stroke it would be tight.
