Just a little update. Got it on the dyno for tuning......making horrible power. I've got a miss on two cylinders where the wires melted through again. I thought I had them routed good enough with boots but it turns out two of the boots made their way up the wires and exposed them directly to the primaries.
I was so pissed when I could feel the miss on the dyno. But I'm glad its something this simple. This is the second wire kit that I have bought.

You have done what looks like a pretty nice build this second go round. Good luck and stick it out it will be worth it in the end.
I do have to say without any offense meant front mount builds like this and your troubles are why I bought the CBR twin kit. Nothing gets displaced. Brakes, radiator, A/C, everything in stock locations. Again good luck.

No offense taken. I started this build before that kit was mentioned on this board. If I were to go back and do it all again, I'd be procharged. Thats all we build at the shop as far as forced induction goes.
Josh does quality work, hands down. I just decided I wasn't happy with some of the charge piping and wanted to change that.
I was told I would have to loose my brakes but Im one that will work around that and design a system to work.

I almost went procharger. U even called "Bob" at brute speed to place an order. But he didn't seem interested in talking to me so I said f it. Got cooled off looked into turboing and Rob took my calls, didn't act like I was wasting his time so I got twins instead.

Man I am terribly sorry if that happened, I don't recall talking to you. Bob

Well we did some more tuning on it tonight. It made right at 500hp @14lbs, 12.9 AFR and 12* of timing. Does that sound right to you?
Then we decided to get frisky and see what it would really do. Its a built so I wasn't really worried.
Lets just say we found a boost leak at 26psi. Wound up blowing the charge piping on top of the motor off. Took out the radiator and a few misc. things with it. That time it made 576hp. I think those Sumitomos were spinning.

No.. My car made 530@7lbs on the stock engine. 12.9 AFR is pretty lean for a boosted setup. I'm thinking it should be more around 11.5-11.7. At 26psi you should probably be making double the hp you did.

I agree, waay too lean! Even though it is forged, you can still tear up a piston. Richen it up to 11.5/1 and add a little timing to it, and monitor spark knock. Bob

That was the first pull to see where it was. I forgot the log but it was low 11s on that 26psi pull. Its still only on 12* of timing. Getting a new radiator for it and putting some meth and DR's on it.
It had to be spinning on the dyno on both runs. I have some video of it that needs to get uploaded. Also in route to a cam swap.

I only read first post and last page. You still running the 80mm turbo? The car doesn't sound or look to be making any more power than the dyno is showing. The pull sounds rather linear. If it spun the tires, you can usually tell pretty easy by the sound clip. A 26psi pull with an 80mm turbo should make 1000+whp and sound absoloutly nasty as hell, and the car stands up on the dyno. I used to run a BW ST80r and my car made over 900whp (at least) on 18psi. Pushed my 3600lb car to 155 mph traps. It sounded WAYYYYYYY different than your pull.
I'd put fresh plugs in. Do one good pull, and immediately check plugs after. I bet you have several cylinders with spark or fuel issues.

Both of those videos were on 13lbs. and 12* of timing.
The graph was of the 26lb pull, I'm sure you noticed that though.
The thing that confuses me is that on the log it was a 6000rpm when I hit the 26lbs and blew the piping. But if you look at the graph it built 26lbs at 100mph (since it was graphed in mph)
Now on a t56 with 4.11 gears, that puts me right at 5400rpm. I don;t know if that 5-600rpm makes a difference.
