Why a truck or ls3? The ls6 intake can take alot of boost, over 15psi.

I'm planning on getting an LQ4/9 and if it has the truck manifold I'll use that for a while or if it doesn't I'll buy this LS3 manifold I saw for sale with injectors and rails for $300, but I've heard that for boost applications it's preferred to use an aluminum intake and elbow to prevent the intake from fracturing due to the increased pressure.
Once I completely finish my build and get it tune I'm hoping to run a max of 16psi at the track.

Im not sure about the ls3 intake but I know the ls6 intake nets a good bit over an ls1. I can only imagine what the gain would be from a truck mani to an ls6.

A lot. I had an LS6 on mine with 19psi, I don't even remember why I changed it to a Vic Jr., looked cooler I guess.

Not sure on the truck one, but the stock ls1 intake will take 18lbs. I've pushed 20lbs on accident a few times when I first was dialing in my boost controller.

I think the OH Boys have take stock composite intakes to over 25 psi, maybe 28 psi? This would be almost 6 years ago.

How much power are you looking to make? Stock48 is making in the neighborhood of 1000rwhp with a 370, PT88, stock TB and truck intake manifold.

I'm shooting for at least 700rwhp with a stock cube 6.0L Iron block, twin turbo (I'm also using it as a street car so two small twins will spool faster) I haven't decided on the size yet I don't want something too big, a Yank converter, Monster 4L80E transmission, PST driveshaft, and a 12 bolt or 9' rear end.
Traction will be me problem I know but hopefully a boost controller so I can run low boost in the street will help with that.

700rwhp, composite intake, no problem. My junk did 864rwhp or something, I can't even remember.

I just really wanted to make sure so that once I turn up the boost at the dyno I don't end up with pieces of composite shrapnel all over my engine bay.

They are tough, you have nothing to worry about.

That's good to hear, one less thing to worry about.
I'm going to do overkill on the tranny, driveshaft, and rear end already.

Default balloon intake...

I inflate it to 20 psi no problems...

your concern should be the heads, save your self money, time and a lot of work, and finish your project quickly, just get a set of thick decks heads minimum of 5/8 thick, 3/4 is best...
