Turbo or Supercharger Witch one would u do on a 9.5 to 1 cr on a built 408 , a 80mm turbo or a vortech ysi . this is a street cat with a 6speed and i would like to get 700ish out of the setup
Turbo. But Im biased.
The supercharger can be done in a weekend(for the most part) and can be more expensive than a turbo setup. If you can do the work yourself and dont mind it taking more time, turbo is the way to go. I have 6-7 months of winter here, I can only imagine the kind of trouble I wouldve gotten into if I had just supercharged it.

The ProCharger D-1SC has powered a Trans-Am into the 8's in the 1/4 mile, and yet it also works great on a stock engine. The above kit is what I recommend. Bob

Ive had a blower 6speed car for a few years now..I am going to go with a front mount turbo because my f1a broke randomly, but i love the feeling of a blower with a 6speed, you can rip gears and have very little to worry about. Ill be single turbo with a 6speed with no 2step or bosot controller for a little while so we will see how i like it!
