Twin or Single wastegate?
Moving my turbo up front this winter, and have been wondering what to do about the wastegate, i currently have a tial 38mm that has only been used for about 500 miles if that.
When i move my turbo upfront and upgrade to the larger borg unit, Should i put two 38mms (one on each merge pipe) or sell my 38 and go with a bigger single?? say like a 50??
its going to be a t6 turbo so i dont think back pressure should be a huge issue, any thoughts??

you can just run a single 50 for simplicity but the twin 38 s would look alot nicer and add a little bit of symetry to your build. plus you could do something kinda cool like stagger for increased boost control. just a thought. i used twin 38s on my old ST80 build and i loved it. i had two MBCs on it too and it gave me more control.
imo single 50 would be easier and work well, twin 38's would take up more space and more fab work, but allow for more control at low boost levels and be cheaper since you already have one
i would get another 38 if engine bay space allowed without it being a pain

Are you going to be able to fit an air filter worth a **** with a T6 up front? Or the necessary 5" down pipe? That's my dilemma right now. I'm leaning toward twins for those reasons.
Well, im thinking very far outside the box on this one, basically,
i worked on my motor tonight, but i made two mock radiators from cardboard the overall size im looking at. Im leaning towards mounting the turbo lenth wise with the car and stuffing the airfilter up in the nose, next to the radiator, i dont have the motor in so i cannot really see, and i dont have all the dimensions on the turbo yet, but im thinking there might be a whole cut in my front bumper, but i dont know yet.
im thinking it will mount alot like phils does in the renegade mustang. im going to try my damndest to avoid cutting ****, but just holding the 19x22 in there tonight, it looks like the room is there.
Now, the big problem will be the down pipe. so i need to have everything in place before i can brainstorm too much more on that.

my manifolds are inverted and the downpipe will be going under them. Straight shot from turbo out the engine bay.
i spoke to chris today at Gforce, he is using a 5" downpipe on his gto and says it should fit. He might have to dent the downpipe in one spot, but i said, i use a port-ram and dent the car before i dent my down pipe, lol.
