Yeah, made an attempt about a month ago. Trans neutral'd out after the 1-2 shift and I overspun the alternator. New alternator is going in at the end of the week and I may try again here soon. Also ordering up a boost shutoff valve to run in front of the vacuum modulator on the transmission. I'm hoping that the cause of the neutral out was from the line pressure going haywire due to the modulator seeing boost, and not something internal. From any kind of roll on the street, it hooks and books with no issues at all.

I went ahead and ordered the gizmo from Transgo. I took the line off mine and my 1-2 was a lil too harsh for street driving for my taste. May disconnect/cap it at the track though if it still acts up out there.

what do you use for the TC lock up ? and what size stall do you have? you can only feel a hard shift when the TC is lockup in my car.

I've just got the solenoid wired up to a toggle switch seeing 12V. I just flip the switch once I'm at cruising speed. The converter is Cablebandit's old 3200 fuddle. I've never shifted the trans with the converter locked up, heard that was bad joojoo and very hard on the trans/converter. Does yours stay cool running it around at full line pressure all the time? I'd heard the vacuum modulator helps to keep pressure lower when not running the car hard thus helping to aid in lower trans temps

I looked back thru the thread and I don't think its been asked, what tires were you running on? My problem is always when boost comes in around 60' the car gets losey-goosey if the track prep isnt up to par on my 315/35/17 MT radials.

Great result !
Wow over 1 sec just loosing the man pedal...

very tempted to go auto as well, getting frustrated with low 11s @ 130 mph.

few Qs -

Whats a built 4l80e go for ?
whats needed for the conversion ?
What Stall are you running ( seems to be working great for you)

you would have to call a vender. there is so many things you can do and the prices will move with the upgrades

for what you need, its all up to how you want to work the trans IE: computer running the show or manaul like mine is. cooler, lines, crossmember, driveshaft, flexplate, converter, shifter. it pretty easy they fit well you dont have to beat the car to death to make it fit

for the stall its a Yank PY3600
