Default Kenne Bell 4.2L Supercharger

I was wondering if anyone has attempted to use one or has any info on them other than what kenne bell has on their website?

Yeah the whipple does seem like a better buy as far as size but I don't think it will compare with the kenne bell as far as power and torque. Also I currently have a 2.4L Whipple and the only problem I have with them is whipple's customer service and the fact that there isn't anyone that works on them but whipple. So in my eyes the only choice would be a maggie or a kenne bell, and magnacharger has yet to even come close to the size of the kenne bell.

The engine is a Chevy ZZ572" with stock heads with inconell valves.
- Venolia pistons (comp 8.1)
- Verdi rods
- Callies crank
- Pro Gram Ohio main caps
- Autronic fuel inj.
etc etc.

This is an engine we built for marine use.

We had it dyno to 1095hp@6200rpm. Lot's of torque.

The engine came out very nice.

Psshh... I cant imagine it had much torque at all, little motor like that with a positive displacement blower.

What... maybe 500 ftlbs?

I have heard that with these Liquid Cooled KB blowers you cant run cold water around the casing. is this still the case (parden the pun)? Is there no way of running acooller running oil for the gearset and then keep the case cooler?

THanks,

Chris.

Hi Chris, that's a good point. I have never heard about that. Maybe I'll hook up a small cooler. Thanks for advice.

A Formula 271 is IMO "pape mache". Will never hold a big power engine like this.

I go will go with a 32 Activator Race

Cant rember where i heard it but some def told me that you have to run the gears at over 200degrees F! I guess thats cos the oil needs to be hopt to work properly. I was told that the case will get hotter than 200degrees F and thus the cooling dose do something. However i cant see why the engine oil cant be used (cold be wrong, anyone know??) as its used in centrifugal SCs! That should then allow you to run the leftover IC water through the case and get the temps right down.

Chris.

What boat would you reccomend around 27-32 to handle lots of power & still take the family out for a day? I want to get the boat then build something not quite this crazy lol.
