Default Procharger Surge Valve

So i guess my surge valve isn't bypassing enough air at idle and slight throttle on my d1sc procharged ls1 trans am. I have the surge valve 1 foot from the procharger. It is making my MAF read odd. Anyone ever heard of this.

Speed density is where you take your MAF off. And tune the car by the map sensor.

That's the big red by pass valve lol. It let's out more air than you'll ever need...

Thanks for the info i just did some research on it too. I don't know if i would need that blow off valve. I'm only boosting around 8lbs so i would think that procharger valve i have would be fine. I'm doing valve springs and maybe a cam if i decide to do that speed density.

in less you have a radical engine that wants a ton of air the standard bov is fine with only 8psi of boost, speed density is the way to go

It's not a radical engine just a street car. Just been having issues with the idle pretty much and the valve train in weak. But I'm thinking if i have to go with speed density to solve my idle issue, I'm going to have to get it tuned again so I might as well just put a cam in while doing the valve springs. Then I know i'll be a little over 500 rwhp at the wheels.
