Default rotor-master identification?

Ok, so a friend of mine just gave me a brand new roto-master turbo. Its a t4 and the inducer measures 2.25" on the small part and 3" on the larger part. The only numbers on it are on the compressor housing. 104347. I've read that this turbo was used on bbc's in rv's. Will thes work on my stock 2000 z28? I have a pre made turbo header kit i bought. Its all stainless and i guess it was built by phab(?). Im not looking for huge numbers. Just around 450ish. I drive the car daily so its gotta stay reasonable. Thanks

That's only about a 57mm turbo. REALLY small for a 346ci motor. If you only want 400-450 hp and limit it to about 6psi and 5500 rpm, then you could probable use it, other wise, you need a bigger turbo.

Is there any way for me to find out what trim it is? I was doing a lil research at work and it seems as though turbonetics sells different impellers and housings that will fit it. For the price i got it for, i have no problem making some changes to it if i have to. I get crazy discounts because where i work we have a business account with turbonetics. Thanks

You would be better off selling it and buying the right turbo. Trim is inducer divided by exduser. Problem with trying to "build" something you can use is it will need to be balanced after you buy the parts and you will pretty much have to replace everything but the cartridge and maybe the exhaust wheel and housing if it's not to small too..

I thought this turbo should work good for what im doing with it. Its going to be 10.5:1 cr with a boost cam and only 6-7psi. Will this not be good for that?

Really, it's too small. I'm all for trying stuff, but that turbo is a good size for about a 250ci motor or twins on a motor of your size. You can probable sell it on ebay and buy what you need and be even, if not money ahead and have the right size turbo rather then trying to modify it to work.

A good size for only wanting 6-7 Psi on a LS1 would be about a 67-70mm turbo, not a 57mm

What size is the turbine wheel and a/r of the housing?

Theres not any numbers stamped on it except for the part number. But on the exhaust side the wheel is 3". Compressor side is 2 1/4" and 3".

If the turbine wheel is 76mm or so and it is a T4, then give it a try. Get about a 70mm compressor wheel and cover, slap it on there and see what it does...

Thanks for the link. I sent rotomaster an email asking for more info. They sell wheels and housings so i asked for availability on bigger parts.
