Got the Compstar rods...
Ordered the SLP high pressure oil pump..

now to decide on the pistons..

thinking of going with Wiseco pistons.. to achieve 9.1 compression

You could go with more compression and a little larger turbo and less boost. Depending on your driving goals. Like the % of track vs. street. 10:1 with a 80mm and 10psi would be a great combo.

What intercooler are you going to use and were are you going to mount it?
I have a simular set up putting a twin turbo Lq4 in my 64 nova with a heidts front end

Thanks for the advice on the CR... I had given that some thought as well...

also on the intercooler, I don't have an idea on that yet.. I really need to get the front end and sheet metal on to see what will work..

Do you have any pictures of yours build or thread on the forum?

Just updating my build..
I know its been 4 yrs, but life gets in the way sometimes

I picked up the following for the build
stock48 spec'd Isky 218 cam
S475 83/ 1.25 T4
Comp cams trunion upgrade kit
TCI SFI flexplate for the 4l80E
Comp cams billet timing gear set

Next on my list is the TCI rear pro-touring setup with 9"
vintage air front runner setup
wiseco pistons and engine machine work

Wow, I figured someone else brought it back from the dead with a general question like I see most times. Glad to see it was brought back because the build is back on!

Good luck with the build. It should be a fun ride when it's done.
