Turbo GTM

Iron block and mid engine, ultra light car does not play nicely together.
Seems everyone thinks N/A is the way for me to go. At what power level did it make sence for you to go F/I? My trans will limit the power I twist through it, but the tubo whine in an exotic bodied car seams fitting. F1 with a little nascar thrown in.

its your budget (3599 is cheap for a forged motor that could make 800 rwhp+)
450rwhp in a 2300lbs car is fun but 600rwhp+ is a riot and you wont feel the 80 lbs differnce at 750hp trust me

There is 2 brothers that own a gtm Here in red oak, Texas It has a 383 ci ls1 a little head work with strong springs and a z06 cam i think that is twin turbo water to air inter cooler. on 12 psi maby a little more it made around 700 on an mustang dyno. I dont know the turbo specs off hand ill try to get back with that info and a dyno chart.
They dont have the body on it yet, but once it gets done they have a few races lined up. http://www.kantuning.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=117

Thats one of there races. The camaro is up on power, and up on suspension, up, up up! a 3700 lbs car vs a 2500ish worrys me.
Your projected finshed car looks great. The GTM ive seen lookes sweet even without the body!!!

Ive got a NIB Turbonetics TC76 I paid 1250 dollars for with a NIB 50mm JGS wastegate. For me to build a full front mounted turbo setup, rew griffin radiator and all, im less than 4500 into it right now, and ive got many parts you wont need. thats hot sides, injectors, twin pumps, cold sides, FMIC, rad, WG, catch can, turbo, motor mounts, oil feed and return, oil pump, etc. now granted ill prob spend another grand in install parts and stuff but you wont have that problem.
go with the master power turbos, there proven to be great budget turbos. but plan on supporting 650ish at the wheels, it will eliminate problems and allow for growth. the bottom end is not the weak link judging by the facts stated about the tranny.
EDIT: the tnetics TC76 I speak of is in my avatar pic, dont short change yourself, a 5k budget is doable.
