440 Would bve better leaves lots of space inbetween cylinders. In any case it would be a very nice set up.

I beth it would be wicked if you did. Small boost numbers on a big turbo would probably make that an uncontrollable street car.

440 and a 454 are the same bore so same space between cylinders. 4.185 bore is way to big for fi u need to keep it in the 4.125 ballpark

How about 4.125 bore and 4.5 stroke, with a tall deck?

454ci FI would be a bad idea on a std deck block-no meat on the pistons. 454ci on a tall deck for FI would be fine. My new setup is a VA Speed 463ci Tall deck LSX with and F2 procharger. Hoping to make 1500rw on pump...e85 ; )

no 454 build yet looking at gmpp crate
i have a stock ls3 with a 2300 harrop PD/sc on 10 psi and 224x228x114 with round 550 at the tyres
so cant go much more boost on this block and heads combo relably
i wont a 454 but it would not have any more hp then i have now NA
i would like to put the 2300
on top for good looks and low down torque with small boost 5/7 psi as the 2300 would be maxed out with the big ci
yes i know a tall deck will do the job but it wont fit under under the bonnet of my car hsv maloo (same as g8/gxp with out a lot of extra work
the fire wall cowl sticks out to far i have looked in to that as the tall deCk was what HKS
sugested and i dont wont to cut it up as it is only 27000kms old

Only issue run into, displacement will be looking for certain airflow at given pressure ratio, if the head unit can't output airflow, the head unit becomes a restriction.
Air flow goes up with rpm. It may only want run to 6000 rpm.

I had twin 55mm APS turbos on a 402 in my GTO, basically felt like a duramax diesel on crack, over 5800 rpm I could feel the car slowing down as rpm would run out to 6k, no valve float, turbos too small.

We're building an LSX 434ci to be used with TVS2300, I think thats the largest ideal engine size for that blower.

i was talking to the guy at magnarcharger and they were fiting a 2300 to a 454 gmpp crate but he said he had no spec on the engine as it was just droped of to get the 2300 fited (so some one must be going to try it out ??)
they wernt going to start it up

im told that at 20,000 rpm rotor speed that it will do round 12/15/psi depending on the heads /exhurst combo max
mine is under driven at the moment to keep it down to 10 psi

I would be interest to someone put a large frame 88 on a gmpp 454 lsx and see what it would do? I think that it could be a crazy setup on low boost. 10 to 15 pounds on 11 to 1 motor, sounds like some power to me.

There is a mustang with a 454 LSX and a big turbo on you tube. Search for it.

The next 6 months should have a few guys running larger than 427" motors with 88mm turbos so the results should be interesting.
