ls1 alum block help

K guys i need alittle info. doing a single turbo build and would like to use my alum ls1 block. So my question is how much power would i beable to throw at a fully studded alum block. shooting for the 800 to 900hp range. is this possible or should i just go buy a cast block and be done with it. thanks for the info

What year is the block? 97 & 98 are not as good as later versions.

the number on the block is 12562174, as far as what year it was made, all i can find is 98 and up.

after doing some more digging, according the derivative vin# it is indeed made in 98 =(

ls1 Aluminum block can handle easily 800 to 900 RWHP
