Default synapse wastegate

Anyone with any REAL WORLD experience with them?

I have searched, and all I found was TALK about them, and how spending 500+ on a gate is the better idea. But the design makes me wonder if it works, and they claim not only does it work, but it out works your traditional diaphragm style gate..

Any words or wisdom from our local boost gurus??

Thanks

I worked with one before, it was a PITA and never worked correctly. I recommended the owner go back to a normal TIAL or equivalent gate...

the one I was working with never made the boost it should make... I think it was because the system itself had high back pressure, it was a log style setup.

It seems like either you love it or hate it here, big bird, what size motor/turbo did you use it on.

The design is pretty cool, and the use of pneumatic lines is pretty trick too..

I will be calling them tomorrow, thanks for the heads up, I have no problem wrapping my head around a new idea, or way of doing things I am sure the setup is very similar to all other diaphragm style gates, but maybe the setup on placement, and lines ect are alittle different.. either way, I plan to try it out, and see what it can do for me, I will post some real world testing when I am done..

Lines are different.

depending on what port you hook line up to depends on your "spring" pressure.

Everything that I have read about them from the big dogs is that they are junk.

Turbosmart, TiAL, or my favorite JGS (because diaphragm's are for vaginas IMO) are the way to go.
