Default Catch Can Special For The Holidays!!!!!!!

Now through Year end Lashway Motorsports is offering the RX Oil Separating Catchcan on sale for $139 shipped for the single valve units (for NA & Top mount superchargers) and $159 for the Dual valve model for Turbo & Front mount SC applications.

The RX can is the only unit available that has integrated positive closing poly check valves & self regulates the amount of flow eliminating oil pull-through during deceleration from WOT runs.

The cans are nearly 1 qt capacity, have a unigue disc baffeling system and perforated dispersion tube to ensure the vapors not only cool quickly to droplets, but the large separation chamber allows the flow to slow enough for the droplets to fall out of suspension trapping it before the vapors travel a final passs through a separate exit chamber and out the integrated checkvalve.

The dual valve unit is the ONLY one on the market that ensures continueous crankcase evacuation no matter what the operating mode. In boost or not, the dual valve unit detects the moment the intake manifold becomes pressurized closes preventing the boost from pressurizing the crankcase, and opens the valve allowing the FI head unit inlet to provide the vacuum needed for continuous evacuation.

Remote drain tube makes emptying simple & mess free.

I am concerened about getting a catch can that recirculates air back into the intake path. I hear that if you pull any kind of oil mist out of the crank case and inject that into the intake path, you end up lowering your effective octane rating, and raise the possbility of detonation. With these cars, running high amounts of boost and in turn, a higher dymanic compression ratio, any kind of detonation = dead motor. How does this stop that from happening?

By the one-way check valves and the fact that this is one of the few cans that does not let oil pull-through. Have this set-up and it does work. Had another well known can on for the past 2 years and was still getting some oil in the intake even though it caught plenty of oil, tried this after I first saw it and NO oil getting into the intake air charge. I also opted for the breather filter which I think helped.

the temperature difference between the heated oiled-air and the material of the catch can causes the oil to condensate on the tube in the catch can, seperating it. kind of how distillation works.

the reason why this one works so well is namely its larger size, it allows more area for trapping the oil on the walls and internal tube.

Can this be used remotely, such as having the hoses a few feet long? Would this effect efficiency? thanks
