The new D1's have a quiter head unit. Mine wasnt loud at all, then reading the new stuff procharger sent me it talks about the new improvements to the D1 to make it not as loud. Always wondered why mine wasnt as loud as my friends with a p1sc

I've heard there is a different gearset you can have Procharger install. That makes it quieter.

I would also leave the fast but look into what other guys are doing to them for them to hold up to boost. Theres that guy with the vette that runs one and he's running low 8 second passes. Gears will really depend on how much power you end making, if you stay around the 700hp range I would go with 3.73-4.11 with the tire your running now. I had 4.11 and it was good.

His car is 93 pump and no meth. And he drives it all the time on the street, that's all in the tune! But I'm not too sure on the psi, I'm thinking 17, but I'm sure he will chime in. And his tranny has been built and he's been launching at 5k and it's holding up.

Not trying to threadjack. I'm sure OP and I would benefit from these answers.
As 4SFED said, yeah its on pump and I think it hit between 15-17 psi. Yeah I could drive it everyday if I wanted. I bought a truck a while back when I blew it up on my stock motor. Just dont really drive it much anymore to be honest even tho I need to. Yeah the tranny is doing good. Im using a Spec 4+ clutch and its holding like a champ.

Yeah the Red Race valve (open) is freakin awesome. I love the way it sounds. Sounds like a damn jet about to take off when you are in the upper rpms just cruising.

ive done a lot of research since ive been a member. you have a lot of similar goals as i have. from many pm's with knowledgable people on here an research alone i would do:

10.1 CR
meth
15psi on d1sc (cheaper than F1 and it takes a lot more power to turn a f1) which in turn, will be robbing you power.
28" tires and a 3.73 gear w/ an m6
afr heads 205 if budget allows or PP 243's
a cam that is slightly larger than an epp cam (IMO) to counter traction problems
you will have a very broad power band and still have 9's as a possibiltiy.
this combo seems like one of the best all purpose setups from what i've gained from researching. it will be a lot easier for traction an then a more radical setup.

I would definately go with a big blower again over a small one. I had a YSi on my street car and drove it everywhere, never had an issue. Its nice not having to spin the hell out of it and use nice big pullies, NO SLIP! F1A is a great street blower IMO

IMO, the only downfall of the V7 YSi is the low step up ratio (3.45) compared to a D1SC (4.44), however the new V24 YSi is 4.25.

Thanks Bro, it's first time to the track with the F1R we destroyed the rear guibo, on the drive shaft shop shaft, on the 3rd pass... I built the car for Mile events, but we go to a few of the 1/4 mile events here in Texas every year for fun. The problem is the coil over suspension and overall setup on the car is not 60ft friendly, of the 2 passes I made a 1.91 60ft was the best we could muster. I may take the time to try some setup changes before our next 1/4 outing, but not sure if this stiff suspension will respond, and I don't care to go to the effort to make all the changes needed since it's so different between the two...
