Tial with a 2.5bar spring??
Tial with a 2.5bar spring?? 1). Will a manual boost controller work with such a weak spring (looking for 6-8)
2). Where do I buy a new spring (if needed)
3). How hard is the spring to change.

1) You can get more boost then the spring is rated for with a boost controller, you just cannot go less then the spring is rated for. I believe all the boost control will do is restrict the amount of vacuum going to the wastegate resulting in more psi.
2) I would call anyplace that sells the wastegate. I dont think I have seen just a spring for sale on any website, but I am sure they sell them individually.
3) Changing the spring to get the right psi is ALOT easier then trying to get a manual boost controller correct it is alot of trial and error.

A 2.5 bar spring will give you 35psi boost !!! you must meen 2.5 psi spring .
as said the spring will be the minimum boost you can run and the boost controller will allow you to increase it from there. You would be able to add more boost with an electronic boost controller as they add positive pressure to the top of the gate to hold it closed were as a manual boost controller just bleeds off boost to the wastegate signal port , delaying when it will open.
You may only be able to double(at best) your spring rateing with a manual controller.
With my electronic, 7psi spring I can crank it over 20psi.
If you just want to run low boost 5-7 psi, your better off getting the correct wastegate spring and be done, one less thing in the mix to go wrong.
if you want a high and low boost setting get a quality electronic boost controller.
