Now that's what I'm talking about! I may have to order a larger helmet now for my head.

Thanks a lot Kevin, I REALLY appreciate it. Made my day in fact....

Rob I really appreciate what you do here. People are just skeptical about your findings because they are so out of the norm. I know a few people who find your use of the methonal injection questionable, but thats because they arent using it on their ride. It would be a shame to lose your constant posting here. I believe you have a genuine care for what goes on in the LS1 community. You just need to become the TEFLON DON, nothing sticks to you attitude. It would be a shame for you to get out of the turbo business seeing that we basically will have no resonable turbo setups for LS1s, I dont count CAS till they get their **** together, and LPE is too damn expensive for the average Joe. It would be a great loss to the LS1 community for you to give up on making a turbo kit.

I think from now on (or at least for a while) I will leave my posts off this board. I'll continue to update the website with details as I see fit. If someone has questions, all they have to do is call or email me. I will also use this "away time" to decide whether or not we will continue to sell turbo systems at all. As I said in an earlier post, selling ProCharger's is MUCH easier, and a lot more profitable.

This way, maybe I can get some sleep.

I would like to thank the large number of you that have continued to support us. Your posts and emails of encouragement meant a lot.
For being really tired, you sure got enough energy to poke at the MIGHTY keyboard

Don't mislead people on how much arguing you were adding with your PE (Provocative Enthusiasm) Rob, someone made the comment before on how much fueling you were adding w/ your adverbs and pro nouns.

Not to mention you are only a member and someone is a moderator so you can’t supply that power on it's own. Only he can because he has TWO MAF’s (Massive Aversion to the Facts) and a special box...

So basically, you didn't get that “really tired” on the stock single MAF (Massive Aversion to the Facts) and the PE (Provocative Enthusiasm) alone.

You're misinforming people, plain and simple.

how about this, someone will bring my video cam to you. tape you manufacturing Procharger Systems while consuming Alcohol, then another with the alcohol off, no other changes? You game??

PE (Provocative Enthusiasm) changes assume the fuel system itself can supply the fuel this can’t be done without a Liquor Store so don’t deny it..

My point is, you needed the alcohol to make it work. And if you pulled it straight off the rolls at that level and layed into it on the street it would melt down. And only cold beer has enough HP to prevent a true melt down

I'm just forseeing alot of people getting a little jumpy on the happy **** (Where's Sigmund Froyd) this spring cause "Rob said it was ok"

I'm not knocking you for pushing, please do. I'm more bothered by the misconception that that's the norm.

It's not. You need to push and pull in order to fit the norm

and it shouldn't be used as an example

Please use Alcohol Safely..

Obviously I've Plagiarized Rob, hang around for the silent majority

My point is it only takes one fart to stink up a room But everybody has to smell it.

Cool

As was pointed out earlier, the March issue of Hot Rod Magazine has an editorial titled "How the internet is ruining hotrodding". I was glad to see others think like I do on this subject.
It pretty much sums up the way things are going on the net and the message boards. Not that the net is all bad of course. But there is a LOT of bad .
I appreciate anybody who shares good tech or ideas on these forums.
I have enjoyed reading your posts Rob. Keep them coming!
Steve

The main problem is there is no inflection on the net. Jest and general discussion sounds combative on paper. These same discussions can take place in person and itsa just another Rap going on at the local lot on the weekends.
Several have left the boards, improved family life and moved on..thats fine, but Rob don't do it because you feel your getting slammed or questioned. There are plenty of gray colored posters in here and a hanful of colorful ones. It would be less fun and less informative without you. Having you here is somewhat of a prize for may of the FI folks.
We all need to take all available information and make our own decisions. Dealing with punks on one day and debating the well informed and savvy another day...but most of the time its Joe Average, the least memorable, that take up residence, just like in real life.

sjh,

I could not agree LESS. The internet is a whole 'nother world of hot rodding.

The old timers don't like it because there is a lot of benchracing, and any guy can register and put in his 2 cents... In the real world a 18 year old guy might not get a change to get in a word in edgewise at a gathering if a few older guys are talking. Internet hotrodding is much more progressive and experimental.

As a counterpoint it also can make myths and opinions transform into what perceive as fact in the blink of any eye. For the first few years of our scene everyone thought that the LS1 is not FI friendly due to some prominent people having recurring problems with engine reliability. I think that was a combination of fact and mismatched parts, and lack of knowledge that created that thinking.

The 'net is like the DMV, we all are the same on here. Folks have to be resilient if they want to push the envelope. Just the fact that folks don't agree is not grounds for folks to polarize and form an opposing force. I highly enjoy the 'net scene and that's why we have the biggest server we can get (single server setup) to host the site.

Hey Rob we all apricaiate you being on the board.
Even though you get into heated discussions, most are very informative, and skipping through the junk i enjoy reading the technical parts of the threads.

keep a stiff upper lip and dont let the nay-saying get to you.

and Rob, you missed a question i had on one of your threads but

your SMC (thats the brand right) alki kit, can you get that with the progressive controller they offfer?
i am eager to try it but i got to get traction first.

Smokinhawk - Yes, I can get it with the progressive controller. I'll have to check on the pricing for you though. There are actually a few new SMC kits that Steve is getting ready to release. We'll be trying on of them SOON.

Thanks.

You need to chill dude and not be so critical of people's questions. Don't take everything as an attack...I have the same problem so I am preaching to the choir...seriously though you seem to back up your work so who gives a crap. If you got the dyno's, reliability, product, and track time to back up your statements on this forum..then that speaks volumes....besides I need you around when my grandfather decides to give me his 1987 3.8liter Potiac Grand Prix.....I have some serious plans for it..and judging by your website...I need to trade you some money for some parts.
