s480 for my 408 questions
So I am thinking a s480 will suit my forged 408. Been doing research for a while now, and cant seem to get a clear answer.
My car:
TSP 408, brute speed blower cam, prc 2.5 ls6 heads, built 4l60e, built 12 bolt rear, 3500 rpm converter, roughly 3700lb weight, modded rear mount turbo setup.
I am nearing the completion of my build, adressed a lot of issues, and like i said, its time to select a turbo. Being a rear mount car, with no quick spool valve, i am asuming an s480 with the 0.80 a.r would have great spooling performance yet still be effecient up top. I have spoken to a few people and seem to get mixed suggestions between the 0.80, 1.10, and 1.32. I know the quick spool valve works wonders, especially with a remote mount application, would the use of that and a s480 with 0.80 a/r be even better?
I Need input, bad, as i can purchase one on the forum with a bullseye race cover right now. Thanks for any input guys!
