can u use a 8 rib idler/tensioner with a 6 rib belt set up.
my idler came apart so i need to order a new 1

 

Yes you can... You will go through belts a bit faster but you surely can... Atleast with the vettes alot of guys do...

Reason being when alot of guys pin the crank it such a pain in the *** to remove the rack many put the 8 rib on out of the gate for future upgrades.
