Default need some help taking a turbo apart from the experts

I don't mean disassembling the center cartridge... I just want to take the damn center cartridge out of the exhaust housing

sounds simple enough, but I can't get this thing to come apart for anything.

I pulled a garrett GT4508R with manifold and all as one piece out of a supra, its a bad *** little turbo, and I have other plans for it but first I have to get it off the manifold and in order to get it off the manifold, the center cartridge has to come apart out of the exhaust housing in order to reach the flange bolts.

Ive hammered it while it was still on the car, off the car, heated it up with a torch, used every type of penetrating oil I could find, and reapeated the other steps... no luck. exhaust housing is completely stuck to the center cartridge.

The turbo has very low miles, but since they were all on race gas, the lead must have "welded" the housing to the center cartridge pretty well

Im completely out of ideas on how to break this thing apart, and not damage the turbo.

Any ideas?

Keep torching and keep beating my friend. That is all you can do. The carbon has sealed the dust shield to the housing. Happens ALOT on our race cars that run methanol. Water + cast iron = sucks

Put it into a chest freezer overnight. Take a rubber mallet to it as soon as you pull it out.

Or you can "shock" it by heating it up red hot and then spraying ice cold water on it. Been there before with our Michigan winters and turbo car repair.

Try to spin it on the center section before trying to beat it off...You can hit the flange and usually break them free.

lol, this bitch doesn't want to go anywhere...

too awkward to hold it in place too, so its tough to give it a good hit and all the force go into it.

I hit mine with PB Blaster for a few days (off the car) and smacked the T flange with a hammer to get it to spin (clock) first. Once it would move side to side a little, I kept spraying the PB Blaster in there, put a gear puller on the housing and put some tension on the turbine nut in the center. With that like that, we put the torch to the exh housing and it popped off.
