Default Main girdle LSX block.

http://dmperformance.org/new/newpage.html

Does this help cap walk on a lsx block? Have anyone tested the difference?

Regards,

Andreas,

EPS has used them on a couple of builds, but thats all I was able to find out on this girdle. It will help cap walk as well.

Got two of them for sale if you want one. Don't know if it helps cap walk, but its supposed to stabilize the bottom end of big power builds. Used them and didn't really know if they helped or not, but not going to use them in my new build etc...

Are they pinned to the caps (machine work required) or just bolt on?

just bolt on.

IMO, this is better than nothing but leaves some to be desired. We built ours to dowel pin to the caps and the pan rail.

of course the down side is that it requires alot of machine work to install and it's not cheap

i'd agree with shawn. IMO if you want the thing to do anything other than look cool it needs to be pinned.

andres are your main caps pinned? are you running aftermarket main caps? what caps walked?

Sorry this is a bit off topic but why cant you pin the girdle to the caps instead of all the setup time involved in drilling the caps and then drilling the block? Would pinning the caps to the girdle stop the cap walk as well?
