When considering running E85 does it affect what parts you use in the build? I know you need to take into consideration injectors, fuel pump, etc. How about compression ratio, turbo, etc?

IMO you can run more compression on a E85 motor (street) and not worry about getting into trouble but on a race type deal (what we will be doing with the car) you would be fine with a higher compression with gasoline as long as the tuner has his crap together and the car was setup right. I like the idea of more usable NA power and being able to make more power on less boost with a little more compression. The turbo would really need to be picked out for the application, regardless of the fuel used. I'm no expert, just my opinion.

Thats funny you say that... we ran e85 last year in my car and my friends turbo mustang we bought a tester and it tested out to like 95% ethanol. We just decided to mix it down with c16 i wasnt expecting 95% though.

ok yours looks a little different than mine. is that horn on the compressor part of the housing or is it detachable? heres mine i, i did some measuring and it specs out as 88mm comp inducer and 89 on the exhaust exducer.

It comes off... I have a y2k 80 we both bought these turbos from a friend of ours that had them laying around. I think they are 6 or 7 years old. I know they have the bigger turbine wheel and the .96 ar exhaust housing. I think they made 2 or 3 versions of the y2k turbos. Hell they still have the stickers on the compressor covers before they engraved them.

We will be working on the car diligently over the next couple of months trying to get ready for our season to start in April. I will keep the pictures and updates come as we make progress.
