It's going to be an 8.50 class if you want to win it. IDK if there's anyone with a FI piece that's got that kind of potential that falls under the rules.

A big inch nitrous motor will win.

We'll run 8.50's if:

1. I get the car back together in time
2. If #1 is accomplished before March and I decide to ship my car to the East Coast for the March and April races in Bradenton, FL and Commerce, GA.

Anyone interested in hauling out my car and 30FT Pace trailer for me? Once it is there it has a home for the months of March, April, May and probably bring it back after. Its a lot of effort but my local class screwed me and won't let me run a gear driven blower. Everything is legal on my car except that so I guess I'll have to race the car on the East Coast.

I don't agree. Not sure if you read the rules but it will take one hellva powerful motor with the limited jet sizes the nitrous guys have. Not saying it can't be done but I think dominate is a strong word... that is unless you have something cooking down there at LMR.

I have seen a couple LSx based Nitrous cars run some 9.0-9.1's on Nuts alone. Toss in their 200hp or so worth of Nitrous makes for some easy mid high 8's. I would agree with SSPerformance 8.70-8.80's will be the norm for the Nitrous Guys.

Looking at it from the Turbo Standpoint is a differnet story. With 76mm units at the cut off its a challenge. Fratena did some 8.50's with a Precision T4 GT45 based Billet 76mm Turbo and 358ci SBC i belive it was. I am thinking something in the 330-360ci range is gonna be the most effiecient choice for the Turbo rules. I still see the Turbo Camp being in the High 8's.

Inline headed nitrous combos will run this class but there might be upsets here and there. I'm not sure if the blower guys realize how much converter that NMRA class guys have run to run low 8's.

I was thinking a 4" Stroke Crank and a 3.8" Bore with an Aluminum 5.3 Block. 363ci with a set of TFS heads and a Vic Jr Intake, and a Precision GT45 Based Billet 76mm Turbo.

Though about the same top end with the 5.3L 3.80 Bore and a 3.622 troke and coming out at 328ci.

Eigther way the compression was gonna be some where in the 10.0-11.0:1 range. Your gonna have to make the engine work from the starting line all the way down the track. RPM's are gonna be up there. I was figuring 7800-8000rpm's to make the power.

I dont have $25k to drop on a top of the line Long block right now. So I was looking at the cheapest way Possible to make the show.

At the end of the day its Cheaper form me to build a Cheap 408ci engine with a PT98 turbo and run True Street and the local Wild Street Races. Who Knows....
