Those are the key words. Don't RELY on it and tune it so if something does go awry, it pulls timing. ie.-place the IAT sensor between the meth nozzles and the TB and tune accordingly.

Works great really well for me, but it was on my Grandnational. I found if you dont tune right I will slow you down.

my pump failed and caused my crank to come out of the pan on my gn. 10 days after i bought the car. so yeah it sucked. mills is right if i spray my gn to hard it slows it down.

heintz racing has the car now and nick williams will be tunning the car. they said they dont think i should push it as far as relying on meth and i do agree with them but i feel like low 700s will be kind of dissapointing. not low hp just was expecting 800s

i feel like the setup is solid and the pump and entire kit is brand new but still have fears of pushing it

I have the meth kit on my car, and when I got my car tuned a few months back, my tuner had me unplug it and would not tune with it, he says its not worth it if it fails. I really would like to use it and get the extra h.p. Maybe I will have to get another tuner.. I dont want to damage my new motor if it ever fails, so Iam not sure what to do yet...

Its fairly easy to tune the car as to not have motor failure if the pump fails. Like I said before, relocate the IAT sensor and modify the table for the PCM to pull timing if the IAT increases past comfort level, denoting a methanol related failure.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-f...shes-fine.html

This is just one example and it comes to mind because we have the same tuner.

Just make sure your tuner knows what he is doing and you will be fine, even if the meth fails. It's all in the tune.

For street use. Build your combo right and there is little need for meth. You'll easily make more power than your tyres can handle without it

When racing....every little bit helps though. Meth can be a good thing when it's working right.

I used it in spades, like 8-10 gallons a week back in the day. Had 2 pumps fail and the second one took out my motor. Never been back since, just run E85 and never have to deal with that **** again

If you want to run big power on the street and fill up with pump gas, methanol will definitely only help make things safe and make more power. As long as you buy a good kit (Alkycontrol ) you won't have any issues. I buy 30 gallon drums for $100 which lasts me over a year and come on....it's not hard to fill up before you go out every couple of times
