Default which spark plugs??

my 408 will finally be done next weekend and ready for the dyno on saturday. the motor is built for boost-9.3:1 diamond pistons, trickflow 235x heads. were goin to dyno the motor with a carb to break it in and just get a base all motor number, but im not sure what i should use for plugs, also not sure if the trickflows use factory style plug either. any ideas will be helpful. just want to make sure i get all my final parts before saturday morning!! thanks

Im going to move this to the FI section for you. I bet the external III folks will just tell you NGK TR55-6's. Which isnt going to be much help.

I was thinking about going with some TR7-IX for my turbo 10psi ls1 setup. Thoughts on using those?

I guess I'm going to answer my own question with anther question. Seems like everyone either like the NGK TR6 or the NGK BR7EF. What is the difference between these two beside the heat range of 6 and 7 respectively? If I'm planning on running 10-12lbs of boost from a TC78, then which one is going to be ideal for me. Also, these are going into a set of 317 heads.

If you're running the motor NA then any plug will work for now. Just put better (colder) plugs in when you start boosting it.

I'm using AutoLite 104's now. A local tuner here in Tulsa recommended those because he swears NGK's are crap..

these are some good ideas, i was mainly wondering what i should use in a carbed n/a setup on the dyno. it will have a victor jr with efi and boost once in the car. also wasnt sure if the trickflow 235 heads use the factory plug style or different
