Default Meth vs n2o

This is probably a dnmb question but here goes. If meth is supposed to cool the intake temps would,nt a small shot of n2o do the same thing. Ok got my suit on fire away

Meth not only cools, it raises the octane of your a/f mix and acts as extra fueling.

Meth, or more specifically meth and water, provide intake temp reduction AND combustion temp reduction. Nitrous oxide provides intake temp reduction but, since it is an oxidizer, it actually increases combustion temperature. Hopefully, this information makes it a bit more clear what to choose for an effective detonation suppressant.

I went throught the same dilema earlier this year. I went with small shot of nos vs meth. Nos was an easier install for me. I have access to 100 unleaded so fuel was not the issue for me.

I wonder what the temps would look like if you spray both

I like the way you think!! And maybe add some of that nitro-methane additive in the meth tank....

Seriously, I was using a dry shot of nitrous way back in like 2003-2004 to try and cool my IATs. I was running a non intercooled Whipple and was seeing some 200+ temps. The juice didn't drop the temps near as much as I expected-if I remember right it only helped maybe 30 degrees or so (and I was spraying across the sensor)
