Default 25-3 Cage is done in my C6Z06, 7's this year!

So they finished the cage tonight... the car is waiting at IPSMotorsports.net to be scuffed for paint. This weekend the cage will be getting a fresh coat of paint and clear coat.

Hopefully next week we can start to reassemble the car!

We have just finalized all but 1 of the the changes for this year and as soon as we get the last change nailed down we will be sharing our plans for this year.

Now I know it doesn't look pretty yet, but when we get it all back together it will be insane!

Stay tuned and enjoy the pics!

Well, I guess that all depends on what you call a street car... All I lost over last year is my heated seats and I don't drive it much in the winter anyway.

Mark, the cage looks great and wishing you good luck this season. Hope you break in the 7's this season. BTW, this is Eric from California. I was helping Keith Berry at the LSX Shootout and we met a couple times in the staging lanes.

So how do you get in? Do you grease it up and get a running start?

watching red neck comedy too much eh?

You'll never see a nicer orange vette with a 25.3 tucked inside.
Good luck with the 7's!

Actually I have them take out the windshield and go in that way... JK it is tight, but I can get in and out. I just better not gain any weight.

The grease idea isn't bad... i may try that this weekend.

Soon... very soon. I am waiting for just a couple of final things to be ironed out, but this much I can tell you...

This year we will be 200lbs + lighter than last year!
We will be spinning the motor 1000rpms higher than last year!
And my turbo will be MUCH bigger than last year...

There are more details, but I need a few more days until I can disclose the particulars.

You're going to drop 200+ pounds, while adding all those bars? Someone is cheating physics over there

Sick. Baddest C6...ever.

We added 30lbs in bars but we lost 75lbs in seats and then we replaced some bracing (about 60lbs with chromoly bars they weighed maybe 5lbs)

So with that math, there is 100lbs out, and then there is another place where we are dropping about 125lbs as well.

Rough math that puts us at 225lbs off, but I'll be happy with a net of 200lbs.
