oh and all the little odd and end crap he needs i have...the only parts he needs is turbo, wg, bov and IC and he has all the hot and cold side!

The fuel delivery, ill build him the same double pumpers and dual hot wires for pree cheap

Hot parts, ill take care of...

help with the motor, i can set him in the fight direction but think he should keep it stock for now

now he just needs
-map sensor 3 bar...my price 68.00
-injectors up to 300.00 prolly lower
-turbo pending....700 and lower
-wg 225.00
-bov 225.00
-intercooler 200.00
-pumps 180 for pumps...add 60 for hotwires
-sd tune 500

he just needs help with the trans crap cuz im a 6 speed guy so dont know the best rt for the trans...

rear, he should be kinda fine on due to the fact i have 3 of them he can destroy before he upgrades.

BTW ******* ya owe me lol

only thing he needs there is cam. i have push rods/317s and springs for him. this is his wedding gift from me!

Gotcha, can you be my friend? I could use some free odds and ends too

Seriously though you are in plainfield? Sounds like you got a pretty dead on setup to what I'm running TC78, 317 heads, forged internals on stock cube ls1. Who are you having do the tune or are you tuning yourself?

Oh since you mentioned 3 bar map sensor. What is a 2 bar good too? I'm trying to figure out if I should jump to a 3 bar since I'm going to push 17-18lbs

yup im a p-ville squirle...lol. mike from straight line does my tuning, hes a billy badass at tuning. ive got tuned there three times and all but the last time (oil pump crapped out) hes spend damn near all day tuning and is a great guy to talk to, and is willing to really help you out!!! as long as hes tuning i really dont think id ever let anyone tune my car!

a 2 bar should be fine untill you know what your motor does at whatever psi. A good fi built motor should make good power on 12 psi. Although...i would just get the 3 bar for the hell of it.

Oh and hes one of my really good buddys and with all the help hes givin me in the past ive decided that now im doing new heads, adding another turbo and rebuilding my car, ill just hook him up with some parts and let that be part of his wedding gift so he can do a smokey burnout after his wedding lol

just read your link...your car should be badass, and after you and ant we should have around 8 FI ls1 cars in a 30 mile radius!!!

I'm definitely glad to have a friend like Joe haha. He is the man... ill be there to help ya again Joe with your build when all the stuff comes in.

I'm leaving the motor as is for now and focusing on the turbo set up for now. Definitely gotta figure out the trans situation too. Might just bite the bullet and buy a built one from flt maybe. Still doing some research on that too. I've pretty much figured out what I want and where I need to sink the most money. Should be fun though. Once that tax money comes thru, its time to start buying parts.

The title of this thread should actually be GOING TURBO now. But anyways, I'm going to talk to a builder this coming week sometime. We'll see what he has to say about it and then I'll decide from there for sure about forging the motor. If I can get a killer deal, then I'll go ahead and do it. But if not, I'll be running stock block/stock internals until I need to go ahead and swap that out.

Your lucky to have a buddy that has been where you are going. I'm a little bit more on my own but my brother in law is very versed as a former mechanic but doesn't know much about turbo setups. We are getting there though. Congrats on te marriage and maybe once we get these fbodies all sorted we could do a cruise in the spring and check out each others setups.

I had mike tune my car with bolt ons. Thought he was pretty damn good and really cool to let me stand there an watch. I'm probably goin to have Brandon from fast motorsports tune my turbo setup. Comes pretty well regarded from a couple other boosted ls guys in Chicago.

It's all good man. I do admit Joe is a good *** friend. We did his cam, heads, clutch, nitrous build two summers ago. That was definitely fun lol. Too bad he can't keep his mind set for more than 6 months. But I wouldn't go anywhere that wouldn't let me watch my car being tuned that's for sure lol.
