typical cost of turbo charging?

Default typical cost of turbo charging?

just wondering about how much i could expect to put down on doing a turbo build on an ls1, its an 02 in an 88 trans am, ive got an aftermarket fuel pump, 60 pound injectors, and a forced induction cam, also running a stock ls6 intake with a ported tb.

Your end goal will dictate the cost of the turbo parts and supporting mods. So it varies. $5k-$30k.

If you are not concerned with preventative parts like an oil pump, transmission, converter(or clutch), rear end, driveshaft, valvesprings, pushrods, etc. Then it can be done rather cheaply.

Of the list I would recommend an oil pump, valvesprings, and pushrods initially. You can replace the tranny and rear end when they break(they will after a while). If you keep the boost low 6-8psi you should be ok for a while, atleast I was

If you have a set budget think double of that!

In the end it all depends on your power goals......

I had less than 1800 in my turbo kit alone on my first build. $1200 into my fuel system, and now after a larger turbo, I am about $3000 in the hole.
