Default ...anybody using stock head bolts with boost?

Gotta lq4 and was wondering the limit of the stock head bolts. I'm looking to make around 600rwhp. I hate to pay $170 for bolts if it isnt necessary

If the engine is together and staying together then leave them be up untill 600 rwhp or so(alot of factors) but if you have to buy new bolts anyways because the factory ones can not be re-used then get some kind of aftermarket bolt or stud in there.

Should be no problem, mine is an LQ4 and makes a little over 600whp with stock head bolts, stock gaskets and 317s, others have done it too.

I've been running 9 psi with stock bolts for close to 2 years. Cam going in soon though and will switch to ARP bolts at that time.

2 different 5.3's and 1 - 6.0 all with stock bolts. The 5.3's reused the stock bolts. one is 15psi and the other was 15psi + 50hp N20. And one peice head gaskets. Never a single problem in 3 years.
