Default What size turbo

What size turbo should i run with a front mount turbo?i have a 383 with heads and cam.(forged)my goal is to be making 15 to 17 ps1.i would appreciate any advice asap.looking to purchase a turbo by the end of the week.thanks.

I would go pt88 or similar. Are you looking to go t4 or t6? What hp goals? How about room and what size dp?

I have a pte78gts with a .96ar 3" dp and an identical motor.....everyone says im crazy though....FUN AS HELL on the street!!! Went 9.90 @ 136 on 10 psi..... :-)

Got a brand new not in box turbonetics t76 not in box brand new. .96ar ill sell you. It would get the job done.

My goal in hp is 700+.im running a t4 flange.what do you guys think?

nodrok's turbo would work just fine, if you go to big, its gonna suck on the street, if you are gonna drive it on the street....other than that, a 76 or 78 with the .96ar I would say would be fine......im sure others will chime in though. You will not need much boost to hit 700 on a forged 383, IMO

IMO i would get the 88 you have a forged motor take advantage of it you will blow the tires of with a 76 78 or 88 but you will keep pulling with the 88 when the other two are falling flat you wont have much trouble spooling the 88 and you will have plenty of room to grow.I have a tc78 wish i wouldve gotten a 88 it falls off up top

if i do end up going with a 88 what .ar would i be looking for?what is the price range for an 88 turbo?

.96 are would be good. I think those pt88 with the t4 flange are around 1500 bucks I think. Check theturboforums.com classifieds for a used unit. Lots of turbos for sale on that site.
