After thinking about all that cutting and shimming and spacing that it would take, I really don’t like if for my F-car any more. When I originally posted this thread I knew that it would involve all that, but after seeing all the new goodies that are out there for the Procharger D1SC setup, I would rather go that route instead. Not that I am made of money or that I am even considering another project, but that TVS2300 setup and on a different engine would be great in the 1985 S10 blazer that I am trying to get rid of.

I myself am planning a 390 and D1 or F1 with the Aster bracket and a FMIC with around 700whp. It seems so easy a caveman could do it.

Sounds like a good plan! Is that car you plan to drop it into going to be strictly for the track or do you plan to drive it on the street too? Do you have to worry much about your state's vehicle emissions laws?

I ask because I want to build something that passes emissions inspections here in the state of Texas, but be able to compete at the local drag strips. I know it sounds contradictory, but that's what I need it to do.

Hey bud whats up? I recently went through this dilemma and ended up going with a AES 390 block TFS heads and EPP cam. I currently have the D-1 on my car with twin intercoolers and hope to make north of 750 rwhp with meth. They should be shipping out my block tomorrow. Can't wait!!
