There is a place in texas, PTP that sells turbo blankets. It cut my spool time a half second on the race car which is a pretty good amount. quality product that a decent price.

I use lava wrapped ones,..or I will be using them on my car. Ran another off brand for a while, we run the lava ones on the GTO,...using them on the vette soon. racepartsolutions is where I got mine from. They also carry other styles. Nick yoskin has some crazy looking heat sheilds on his vette builds... looks spacy...

...also have the turbos coated as well..with blankets.

how does it do that? by keeping the heat in the turbo?

I use the PTP blankets on my turbos. It keeps the heat where it should be, in the turbo. It also helped my spool time. Worth getting one for sure.

I'm as cheap as they come but I definitely know that the blankets work. I just made my own out of a blanket kit. If you take you're time they don't look too bad.

DEI TITANIUM TURBO SHIELD / BLANKET! That **** is ridiculous. Compared to before temps and performance/spool up is night and day and I only run a 2.0L!
