Current turbo set up is in the works but my old Procharger set up was

forged 347 9.7:1 Stock heads ls6 intake, speed inc blower cam, Meth and about 12/13 psi made 676rwhp and 600rwtq with a M6 and 3.70 gears in a 9"

I think that was 16-17 degrees of timing and pulled to 6800rpm

Not an apples to apples comparison. Diff gear ratios/rear end, also different boost levels.

TC 78 home built 346 eagle rods, mahle pistons with stock main bolts. Mostly used junk with t400 & 2.75 rear gears for hwy cruising. Runs 9.89, I dynoed in 2nd gear & got 685. I won't dyno in 3rd on pump gas because of load.

I went 680rhwp and 9.40@143 one time on race gas and 18 psi blower...

So I figure my 10.00@140 with turbo and 16 psi was maybe 650rwhp. Dunno.

Yeah that is misleading, wish I'd known the boost controller had gotten bumped while the car was down and I would've tried to correct it on the dyno but didn't have time. I think it's a safe bet to say that an unlocked 4l80e is similar to a th400 from an original m6 car - alot of guys have reported 60-100rwhp losses - depends on converter efficiency as well as what was said about gearing/rearend etc

If it's any consolation, I did the auto swap because my previous car was a 4l60e turbo 347 car and it made about 150 less engine hp than this one, and it truly felt faster than this one did with a 6 speed. This thing is so much more fun to drive with the auto and feels soo much faster now as well.
