Default My new build. S475 with truck manifolds

Well after building one kit for my car and having some trouble with it I wanted to give it another try. This time I moved the turbo to the where the battery was and wanted to make sure I could use puller fans over pushers to keep it cool. Like my other kit it keeps the sway bar and I was stuck again with only a 3.5 inch down pipe due to my k member. Its only half way done but I was thinking I would toss pics up anyway.

that looks great, are you letting the turbo hang off of the pipes or did you make a bracket to support the weight. is that 2.5 inch pipe for the cross over.

Lookin good. Should be a fun ride.

You got a lil different thinking on the crossover design then most would. At least than me.

Keep up the good work

looks like 2.5" . It is what is most common

Where he put the turbo will make a support easy to make IF he is using solid motor mounts. But my buddy had a s488 hanging off his crossover kinda like that... So far so good (as i jinx him lol)

I like the way he has the cross over, it looks like it would be stronger than others i have seen.

Thanks guys, I am going to build a support the bolts it to where the ac bracket bolted to and also mount the down pipe to the block. I think after all that it should be fine. Its built from 2.5 inch pipe like most kits. When building the crossover I wanted to keep it smooth flowing as I could right into the turbo flange.

Well this never turned into much of a built thread but I wanted to post some new pics anyway. After getting the car running it looked to dirty and unfinished for my taste so over winter I cleaned it up, fixed things and painted the engine bay. Also did an ac delete and moved some things so they were hidden. Im just about to get it all finished and running again then I can take some better pics of it outside. It shouldn't be so embarrassing to open the hood at car shows this year.

Great setup indeed, but you may want to look at that filter on the turbo. That size filter is not large enough to properly feed a 75mm S400. You may start to see some oil coming out of the compressor cover side with time.

thats the first thing I thought of when I saw the setup. That thing looks like it would barely fit a CAI setup, let alone something with twice the power. Find the biggest guy you can fit in the area or are willing to "modify" for. Let her breathe!!!
btw, car looks nice with new paint, I like the catch-can on the firewall and out of the way, those things annoy me being right out in front.
