To have the best of both worlds one would have to decide on c.i. A built 370 v a 427 will make the same hp and tq. Its all where in the power band it will be deliverd. the 370 option ls is great you can fit a nice thick piston in there to match the bore leanth. ie stock stroke crank. The one issue with a stroker crank is cylinder bore leanth. You will pull the bottom of the piston out of the bore heance a shorter piston that pushes the rings closer. It has been done thousands of times 402-408-416 have push 1k to the wheels with stock leanth bores. But to have it more reliable it needs a longer cylinder bore to match the stroke. I would look towards the sleeved and stroke motors for a broader power band. Its simple a 402 with 20 psi vs a 370 at the same psi the 402 will make more power. Imho Id choose a 427 sleeved with a 4.125 bore and a 4.000 stroke not a 4.000 bore adn a 4.125 stroke. Bigger bore will support more power.

But in the end it comes down to how much to spend lol

Pure economics will probably dictate a 370 or 390 CID.

I have a 2200lb car and want a 800+Whp turbo engine, with a Manual 6 speed gearbox and plenty of gearing I need revs to keep the car moving. I was intending to go shorter than the normal 4" stroke (4.130" bore) was going for a 3.8" but am tending to lean towards a 3.5" now. Would love a 7500 red line with power peaking close to 7000 has anyone built this kind of turbo motor ??? and are the LS7 heads still ok with this ??
