Turbo choice I finally got some cash to get a turbo I am doing a LQ4 in a thirdgen camaro so I have room to spare my goal is to get into the 9s which shouldnt require a ridiculous setup
Right now Im leaning towards a gt88 or the S480 but would like to hear some opinions or other options
Im working with a 1500 dollar budget for the turbo
also where and who has the best prices too

Also Jose has mentioned an 82mm borgwarner cast wheel that flows 126 lbs/min, well here it what he said:
In all reality a good 80mm unit will take you into the 8's if everything is setup right. The BW S480 will flow around 119 lbs/min but that is only with the race cover and a 96mm turbine wheel but that may be a bit more laggy than what you are looking for. If you could find a garrett gt-4780 for a decent price I think you would be really happy. If you prefer something to spool a few hundred rpm quicker than the Garrett for street use look into the BW 80mm with the 87mm turbine wheel.
Or hell if you really want a sweet setup with more potential go with the bw 82mm cast wheel with race cover and 92 mm turbine wheel. Sorry if this confuses you, maybe your best bet is to call forcedinductions.

Standard Billet wheel off a CAT S300. We carry them on the shelf...lol. Also I would work on getting the new 82mm comp wheel from Borg. Its cast, but by far their BEST S400 wheel out (~126lbs/min). Billet is just a buzz word right now. The billet counterparts on the scales are heavier since their is no design change between the cast and billet . They are merely used for apps that exhibit alot of LCF situations. We have done some testing with the new 82mm wheel and its great.

Got lucky with my new pt88 for $1270 shipped from a member but was quoted $1650 from rob at modular turbo if i got my bov & wg from him too!
Buddy of mine has a 408 fox with an 80mm T6 on E85 running 8.60's last year and expects to be in the 8.30's this year after some changes and that's with an ebay intercooler & truck manifolds! An proper 80 can easily get you into the 9's and can leave you with room to grow, much like an 88 or 91. Then you wont be buying another turbo when you wanna go faster!
