Default Is this down pipe hurting performance?

Engine is a 427", turbo is a bullseye comp r 83 with a 1.32 ar, basically a modified s480. The down pipe is 5" for about 6" out of the turbo, then necks down to 4" the rest of the way. Engine made 992 on 11#s and 1006 torque on a DTS engine dyno with 92 octane. Is this down pipe hurting performance?-dscn0651.jpg

probably not. I didn't notice 4" downpipe restrictions until I crossed the 1500hp barrier.

I am sure its limiting the power you could make if you have room for a cutout or something before it reduces to 4". That or have a cutout after your crossmember maybe....

I just added a cutout about 18" from my turbo.

Sweet setup!

Thanks for the replies, I think I'll just roll with 4" for now.

It is a tight fit with this turbo, had to cut up the core support a little to fit the intercooler and get creative with the headers and crossover. It all seemed to work out and is a blast to drive.

4" is fine, I dont like the wastegate plumbed back in. I'd run a seperate 2" tube for the wastegate.
