Question headers and full exhaust

i was wonder if installing LT's and a full exhaust would hurt my future plans of putting a rear-mount in after boot camp? tried searching and never got a straight answer.

leave it. if you're planning on boost, just leave the engine basically stock.

and injectors arent gonna help a stock motor, swap injectors when you do the turbo setup.

also, i strongly suggest a front mount. the rear mounts are generally a PITA and need alot of modifying to make work properly.

yea bro take your time you cant drive your car at boot camp anyways! But dont worry youll will spend more money than you are probably comfortable with when you go FI. Trust me on this one brother...when I put a post on here like 6 years ago about wanting to boost my lt1 camaro, everyone said it would cost a **** load..ive got about 20k in mods now and knowing what the car would eventually be, I wish i never bought catbacks, Cai's, or any of that BS...

I dont think its more than average at all!!! I think most people here with a built motor and power adder on here are well over 20k..my sc setup had about 5k into it, another 5k or so in the engine, not to mention ive got a few thousand into this turbo setup im working on now..If you want to do it cheapest, save up and get a nice front mount single turbo to work with your engine..rear mount turbos are gay unless you make a custom setup with a spool valve, 2step, automatic bla bla bla..plus you wont have to worry about rain or speed bumps..plus who wants to see a turbo hanging from the back of the car? I laugh when i see some guy driving around trying to hide his rear mount turbo

well i got half of that done so now its just spending the money on the actual turbo setup. how did u find your front turbo mount? was it a kit or did you make everything yourself?

don't waste $ on longtubes if you are going rearmount, they suck for that. if you have to go rearmount just make sure you do the right size piping and your ready to go. Don't let everyone that had bad experiences sway you from doing it. I've had shitty luck with them, but them again, I tuned a 2010 with a STS TT kit on it and I no longer think rearmounts suck. Full boost as soon as you nail it. piping and a GOOD and properly sized turbo can go a long way.

BUT if you dont need a/c and junk go frontmount and never look back

the previous owner had the motor shipped out for a h/c install. the company that did the install re-located and he cant find where they moved to. so im still trying to get the cam specs. soon im going to tell him i need them so maybe he'll try harder in finding them
