Default LT1 with Ysi

Who makes cog setup for LT1 with Ysi ? Anyone one has a cog setup for sale?My 8 rib is not holding anymore. Can't get pass the 725rwhp without belt slip.

what size pulleys you looking for? If you want to do it cheap you can do the 10-rib like I had on mine, would end up with 7.8"/3.12" or 2.95". LMK ill get you more info if you want

You still running the 7"/2.75" 8-rib you had before? If so thats 2.54 ratio
A 7.8"/3.12 is 2.50 so that would be pretty close with a large increase in pulley diameter

What hp are you making now with 10 rib? Any noticeable belt slip?

I remember you having issues with this car, glad to see its making the power it should be now. What was wrong with it??

Im a procharger guy so it may be different, but what about a Spring loaded tensioner? I have seen guys run a 8-rib on an F1A with it.

At first the car made 671rwhp :

8rib 2.75''/7'' pulley., spring tensioner
vortech aftercooler
max power was @ 11 psi

then I changed the aftercooler to a slightly bigger one gained 1-2 psi more and the car made 718rwhp.

after that I changed the camshaft to a solid roller, boost didnt change..made 725rwhp.

found pressure drop across the IC. I removed the aftercooler and with a direct duct to the intake and installed water/meth injection.

Gained 3-4 psi of boost, but NO hp gain.- It might to do with spark plugs gap too big 0.060 though I didnt notice any misfire and the dyno graph was smooth.- "your thoughts and inputs here please".

Fitted 8'' crank pulley- aiming for maximum boost- and this when my belt start to slip and I only seen 8-10 psi and the car made ~630 rwhp.

So, this why I am after a cog setup.

the car hasnt changed since I sold it, was making around 630whp with a forged 355 and stock LT1 heads. 7.8"/3.12" and about 14psi. Once I got the belt tied down tight I had no issues up to 6800rpm. The inlet was very restrictive, I took it off one day and it was making over 18psi at 5500rpm, but I just sold the car instead so I never screwed with it. I posted info and pics in one of your other threads

Doing a cog setup is going to cost at least $1000 but then you will never have to worry again, I had about $450 in my whole 10-rib setup

Call ASP racing, they are who made my old cog kit. They can make you basically anything you want. Dont go lower than 28t on the blower, I had a 26t and couldnt keep teeth on the belt

I will be running a 7.8/3.33 8 rib with a V1 and no intercooler. what kind of boost will that make?
