Default How much power will a TVS 2300 make?

Hey guys, I currently have an intercooled MP1900 Maggie spooled all the way up on a 415C.I. LS3, Ported heads, custom Pat G blower cam, 10.5:1 CR, etc, and it barely bumped the 600 WHP mark through tranny and transfer case on a Mustang Dyno (This is an 07 Silverado). I am running way out of blower at about 4500RPM though and need to go bigger. Will a TVS 2300 support my engine to make more power (650-700RWHP) all the way up to 6500 RPM? Or do I need to look at going even bigger?

Thanks,
Robbie.

Whipple 3.4l will get you there. If you really want to do it big though go 4.0 whipple. I install 2 a week and they make the power so clean its shooting fish in a barrel.

Sweetness! What all would have to be done to a whipple to support a 105mm TB? And Arthur, are you at sea level? I'm at 3800 ft. Besides that, my cubes eat up my blower and there isn't enough restriction in my heads to make the blower under boost, it just falls on it's face.

I made 800AWTQ at 3200 RPM with a 418 in my TBSS, but the 70 would not hold on.

Just dropped a 4l85e 2wd in and looking for 900+whp! Almost done.

The Jackshaft 2300 wil get you there NO PROBLEM!

Mine...

I do not see 900whp happening at all, I know 800 is possible though.

I'm in Vegas. Varies anywhere from 2,000' to 4,000' depending where in the city you are.

Huh. I'm not running Meth or anything like that.... I ran at a 11.8:1 AFR, 120 degree IAT max, cam specs are .575/.595, 232/244, 116+2, 93 octane, and 16-21 degrees of timing. No knock. Locked converter. Was the dyno jacked up? I know my boost fell on it's face after ~4500 from 10 to 6 1/2 pounds but I expected ~650HP and ~600 Ft. Lbs out of my setup. I still have plenty of headroom on my MAF and that was with FIC flow matched ZR1 shortbody injectors with Racelogic 12 MM adapters.

Here is one of my dyno sheets. Cant find the others.

But mine was done on a Superflow last go... Also keep in mind this is Denver Colorado, NO AIR!

Can your engine spin 43,000 RPM? My little one can all day! www.ratraceway.com

My TRX 3.3 spins 50,000 RPM! Ha ha!

And yeah I was asking. I think our dyno is because we're walking through built 4L60's and 70's like they're butter. I need 4L80!

No, sorry that little TRX only spins! # Peak RPM: 38,100 rpm

Get an 80 and be done with the 60/70 problems.

Yep, I know, I was just wanting to see if you were on your toes. I read the article on Performance R/C. It was pretty cool! Back in 06 though it was rumored that the TRX 2.5 would spin 50K but you and I both know that's a load of

Anyways, for the 4L80E I NEED to retain 4 wheel drive. Was your swap hard to do?

I could not stay AWD!

Our Trailblazer SS has a small 8" diff setup that is integrated into the oil pan. So there is no way to upgrade the front diff. I did not want to find out what would happen at 800+ awhp if an WHEN the front diff blew up! No way, I was willing to chance that gear ending up in my motors bottom end.

You on the other hand, can always upgrade to a 1 ton 9" front diff from a HD truck. What transfer case are you running? You have a few options now going awd and 4l80. NV149 or the T5 awd case from a TBSS. (Have one for sale if you need one. HAHA )

If you need any contact info for an 80. I can get you to the right place for the appropriate combo.

OH Traxxas... Not very good stuff but works. A TRX engine is kinda like having a reman Ls1 from Checker auto parts. Sure it will work but for how long and how well was it built?

Well, with this Silvy we got off light. It's got two HD 10 bolts from the factory, and the transfer case is a GM 108XXX you know, 2WD, Auto 4WD, 4 HI, 4 LO, etc. but not the Autotrack like in the H2 Humper.

I'm looking for options to go 4L80 but retain that transfer case.

What do you think?

And you don't like Traxxas eh? Hmmm.... I enjoy Traxxas products quite a bit honestly. I ran 9 gallons through a TRX 3.3 and beat the dog **** out of it in a T-Maxx almost everyday, but I got good at tuning it, and I'd always spend twice the amount of time cleaning it up as I did playing with it.

In the racing spectrum, I have a Team Losi Muggy sitting right next to me that I just finished re clutching and shearing some weight off the frame. I'm very impressed with how it handles, but it needs alot more power in my opinion Maybe supercharger and nitrous........

I think you should check out the performancetrucks.net, Its got plenty of info about 4wd 4l80e swaps. I was gona do one with the motor I was building but bought a camaross instead lol. Anyways you can do the swap but need to extend the trans Cross member 5in I believe and will need custom drivshafts along with the different wiring and a few other things. I do not remember if you can retain the AUTO 4 option but you need a adapter harness which can be bought and a spacer for the crank. There was a vendor selling the complete kit, others will be able to help on pt.net
