In for results. I have the MSD plug and play unit from my old NA setup but have been told I need something with timing retard as well now to help build boost.

I would go with an MSD. I had a lingenfelter first but right out of the box it was defective, the car ran terrible. So i pulled it off and got an msd and it worked great. The msd is also alot smaller in size, and i beleive its cheaper too.

I use the MSD 6AL so the MSD two step was a no brainer and works like a charm.

Good luck

I am footbrake and set my RPM low (3000) because I need to limit my boost at launch to be able to drive the car. I build I think 3 psi and it enabled 1.32 60 and it carries front end 1st, 2nd and it comes down in drive ~60 foot

Friend with a Tbrake can build whatever boost he wants. Each setup is different.

Good luck

Search on site or online. There is a location for a RPM 'pill' on an MSD 6 AL this is the 'rev' limit point. The two step plugs into the pill location and enables selecting channel one (line RPM) or channel two normal rev limit.

Good luck

For an LS engine theres no need for a msd 6a box or anything like that. The MSD LS specific 2 step plugs into both banks of coils and then just your activation wire, either power or ground. Doesnt get much easier. Theyre all factory style connectors.

The msd part number is 8733. There are no pills, it has rotary dials for adjustment.

The MSD one that plugs in is what I have from my NA setup. Is this the best setup for a 6-sp car or should I be looking at something else?

LPE 2-step here. it has been good to me so far have not used it with the Auto yet. but that is going down soon. and i here the 3-step is great for auto turbo cars. you can set a rpm for the footbrake when you building boost before the beams, let the car creep into the staging lights than hit the transbrake that has its own rpm set point on the 3-step. i hope that makes sence.

you can do it this way to stay on the transbrake for the smallest amount of time to cut down on trans temps
have not done this my self but it sounds like something id like to try out
i need a WAY better 60 foot with my car LOL
