Question Who is running AC with their turbo setup?

Well my motor should be done soon from AES. I have most of everything else. I am getting ready to start working on this. I would like to keep my AC if I can. If anyone is running a setup with the AC I would like to see some pic if at all possible. So if you have pictures of your setup please share with me. I was going to use Stainless Works headers but just found out that they don't work to good with the 4th gen. Camaros. I cant find not one setup that has retained the AC. Is it not possible to keep the AC or something? I don't know, so I will take advice and pictures if you have them. I guess you can call me greedy. Because I would like to have both.... Advice and Pictures. Thanks to all in advance!

You can do a search on here for '"C6 manifolds". Guys have done it, but the ones I have seen were using an aftermarket K member with a C6 manifold on the passenger side, truck manifold on the driver side, and alternator moved to the top. The only other option I have came across with quite a bit of searching is custom headers. If you find anything different than above, stick it on this thread if you don't mind. I would be interested to see it.

I run A/C on my setup. We ran C6 manifolds on both sides and all stock accessories are in their original positions.

Got any pics of your set or can you take some pics. I would not really worry all that much about the AC. But my son likes to ride in the Camaro. When it is done he will love it. And he likes to stay cool while being cool with his dad, lol.

You can see some pics in this thread. Its hard to get pics of the manifolds as everything is shoved in their pretty tight.

If I didn't see the pictures I wouldn't have believed it was possible, nice build.

Yeah I have seen a few twin setups that let you keep the AC. I am looking for a setup for a single T6 88mm turbo. Being that is what I ended up getting. You wasn't joking when you said it was a tight fit. It's like a can of sardines. Nice setup man I like it. A lot of attention to detail.

I can already tell that this project is going to tweak the hell out of the one and only nerve I have left.

Nice Abeasst. I'm gathering parts for a C6 manifold build right now as well. Wasn't sure if anyone had tried using the C6 mani on the drivers side. Good to know.

Yea the only thing we had to do was to notch the engine mount to allow for enough room around the flange.

Who ever told you the above statement I have in BOLD needs to pull thier head(s) out of thier ***. I do it everyday. Day in and Day out. I use Stainless Works Headers or Custom headers I build in house.

I do A/C setups that will support damn near any turbo you can dream up. Twins included.

I have beat the C6 Manifold A/C designs to death. At the end of the day I went back to headers to keep the approach to the same goal simple.

I sent you a PM. I havent forgotten about you. Give me a call.

I'm running an kytp c6 truck mani setup. You have to stand the rad up to fit any real turbo in.

One thing that has been a challenge is a fan setup that actually works.

Any one can have ac work for 30 mins or cruising on the highway.

I consider having ac to be able to sit in traffic all day and it be 100 degrees out and not over heat.

I haven't gotten there yet. That along with runing 9s is this years goals

3 questions..

1)Any issues with rubbing on the downpipes when the wheels are turned all the way left or right?

2) BMR turbo K member?

3) Any possibility of some more pics from underneath the car?

Awesome setup as I said before! Very glad to see it done the way you did it.

With 9.5" wheels they don't rub but any bigger and they will.

2) BMR turbo K member?

yes

3) Any possibility of some more pics from underneath the car?

All the pictures I have are on the below page.
