Default cam ?

im about to buy a cam and im stuck between these two

224 int 224 exh .581/.581 114LSA or
220/220 .581/.581 116LSA

its going on a stock bottom end lq9 with a pt88 which im only revving to 6200 rpm. any input on how thwy will perform will be greatly appreciated

Im also always interested in learning what people think of cam selection for forced induction. Can you give some technical feedback also what the driving difference would be like between these two cams.

What gear trans and converter are you running? I had good luck with my Isky 215/215, 114lsa in my Pt88/370. Shifting at 6200Rpm went 9.65/144mph in a 4860lb 4x4 truck. Either one of those cams should work but I would keep the lsa between 112-114. Jmo

With the stick I would keep the cam short. The sooner it comes into power on the motor the sooner it will spool, and with a 6200RPM shift you are going to drop down into the 4K rpm range between shifts due to no converter slippage.
