Default Muffler ideas for down pipe?

Hey guys I was looking around and not finding much so I thought ask and see what other people were doing. I need a short 4" tubular muffler that will fit in my down pipe that goes out the drivers fender. Room is really tight. I know it wont help much but would like something that takes the edge off.

I did find this insert but not sure its worth it.

Also thought about cutting the ends off this one to fit 4".

I'll upload my pics when I get home but what I did is made a u bend off of the turbo and went out the passenger side bumper, the gave me more room so I could use a decent size muffler, BTW I put a dynatech split flow in which is very similar to a borla xr1

Looks like this 12" long 4" x 4" bullet fits the bill, only $27 too. It probably won't do much but should take the edge off.

Some good "bullet" style mufflers are dynomax (but its not stainless), borla xr1, vibrant like mentioned, magnaflow makes one, and burns stainless tops them off but also the priciest.

Yes, minimal, but it does make a difference. A lot of classes require a muffler and for some people, the vibrant is the best acceptable answer.

I'm wondering the same thing. When I went straight pipe it was too loud, so I added Borla XR-1's and it's too quiet. I'm hoping these are somewhere in beween. I'm planning on having these in my downpipes also.

Magnaflow gets my vote just a 4" in and out.... Or whatever size your downpipe is.

seems pretty loud lol, but its really hard to judge from videos, i read that the borla is supposed to be pretty quite but all the videos i saw seem loud as well, but ill find out how quite it is soon enough, my goal is just to be able to sit at a stop light and have a cop pull next to me without me going to jail or getting my car impounded lol

I have two borla 40086 3.5" mufflers (15" core x 5" round) and although they made a big difference over no mufflers, they still have a descent amount of resonance in the car. I can idle next to a cop with no problem but won't accelerate next to him. The sound clip is below.
