Go for the red race bypass then there will be no question if your in boost or not, not too loud if your D1 is not pulleyed down all the way.
But yes you make boost at part throttle.

Funny how I was just thinking this exact same thing today and I just happen to stumble across this thread without searching for it.
I have the (race red procharger by-pass valve) as well and was wondering if it can be adjusted to close sooner to help make boost at partial throttle (40%ish) conditions? I was using some ebay Blow off valve before with my old setup and I remember it feeling more peppy due to it being closed all the time and only opening after going WOT or also it starting to open once I hit around 3000 rpm part throttle.. Maybe some guy's with experience can chime in.

Well, I will give feedback on this thread since it's been about year since I started down this FI path. Most definitely it made boost at part throttle, to the point that in first and second, I had to keep my foot out of the throttle because if I rolled into the throttle just enough to where the bypass closed, it was instant tire spin thanks to boost jumping from vacuum to 1-4# depending on what rpm I was at.
I'm putting together a forged shortblock right now, and can't wait to get back in the driver's seat. Adding the procharger was the single best thing I ever did to this car.
